I’m often asked which studio lights I use in my studio to give consistent bright lighting. I use my lights for watercolour painting and video lessons. There are many different studio lighting options available. My simple lighting system cost under £40.00 from Amazon and has served me brilliantly. Hi all, Howard posted his painting on Pure Watercolour and needed a bit of help. I looked at the ref image and thought it would make an excellent lesson so thought it better to produce a video than to try to explain to Howard how I would do it.

This watercolour demonstration will help you understand colour, shadows, lights and dark’s (values) The tips in this demonstration teach’s you how to soften edges, create light and interest in your work. Don’t worry if you haven’t got the exact colours just use what is closest in your paint box. The most important thing is to have a go.

Hi all, I thought this latest video might be of some use to those that are on a budget when framing. This video isn’t saying put cheap rubbish around your latest masterpiece. With the methods outlined in this video, I’ve found excellent frames for a few pounds.
