This is a lighthouse on the island Texel (Netherlands) that I painted a few weeks ago.
I know it’s not loose enough and perhaps a bit boring, but I am working on it 🙂
The next seascape/landscape I will try without the photo next to my painting, and only a simple sketch, maybe then it will be easier to paint more lively and loose.
I felt like painting and wanted to practice landscapes in a loose style, so I took a picture of a painting and started painting (used no video or tutorial).
The example was a painting by Igor Sava.
Of course it is not nearly as good as the original painting, but I am not dissatisfied with the result.
Thanks all for the kind comments. The photo I used is from Rodney Campbell (PMP). @Casper, I do have some water soluble coloured pencils, but it gives a different effect than polychromatic pencils (these are much softer).
