Great work Pete and well done for persevering with the hake. Love the textures in the tree trunks.
Very nice Brian, its good to try something different, I like the looser way you have handled this. Btw, have you pinched Charles Reid’s duck! Lol!
Terrific Paula, the fur is rendered beautifully
Hello and welcome Joy, such a lovely painting for your first post, as said above how lucky you are to live in Cornwall, I am in London. Look forward to seeing more of your paintings
You have done a great job here, the dogs are adorable
Thank you Joy and I did enjoy my flowers they lasted a long time
Thank you Paula, I will try and remember to do this next time I post
snatching a quick few minuets to capture a bouquet i received recently
Nicely done Alex, such a good thing to paint in only 3 colours, takes the headache out of choosing an appropriate palette for the reference
Superbly done, really like your window series
Both charming paintings, lucky friends to receive your cards
Good advice from all the above. A good tip is to make a thumbnail sketch in pencil on scrap paper and get in all your darks and lights then you can match your tones with colour on your watercolour paper
Fabulous sketch! Well done
Lovely work, the first is almost abstract which I like very much and the second is gorgeous
