This is my goal – urban sketching. Absolutely brilliant! What I notice about the drawing, is that Patrick lifts his pen off the paper continuously, which gives the sketch life. No solid, straight lines – which is where I go wrong. My sketches have no movement. Love this!
OMG – I hadn’t noticed that I didn’t do the fence post shadows! Easily rectified. I used Winsor & Newton Neutral Tint for the trees, and the snow is just white gouache flicked off a toothbrush! (not the one I use!). Thanks, all!
