Thanks Robert. I had a frustrating weekend and needed to do something and needed to be loose. Never tried in this way and played with colour thinking warm and then thought I will scratch out some tree and fence detail.
Just did a quick sky and trees to try to loosen up. Should have done some loose edges to trees
I could eat it and maybe a slice with a gin and tonic
Very nice painting. Great hay field and hill beyond
Yes you got it. Lovely painting.
I think this is really good. The nuts are beautiful and the reflections lovely.
Totally transformed. Well done
The stone work is painted very well.
Made this one more stormy and lowered horizon
What a great painting. What character its just got it
I am with others, i didn’t try i lacked inspiration but you have done well and get the buoy perfectly. The more i paint the more i think i enjoy landscapes.
Just wondered if anybody had used SAA watercolour paints and if so what your views on them are.
Very good. Love the background with its subtlety just echoing the rose hips.
Thanks Debbie. I am thinking of doing again but with more sky and maybe an angry stormy sky to set the lighthouse off. I think i copied the photo to closely and that’s not good.
Very good and foreground water is very well dondone. Maybe need to darken white to counterchange the light sea
Distant trees are very good. With foreground tree paint branches in the sky holes and gaps but not over foliage.
Mark it was plien air setup vietnam video.
I just fixed an old chopping board to it. One of Patricks videos shows him doing the same.
I have several of his books. One painting of his is very similar. I had to darken the sea to get counter change to see the lighthouse. But yes I may do again.
Love the tonal values and simplicity of the second one
