Feel free to use this photo in any way you like. I use Kilimanjaro bright white 140 cold press from cheapjoes. I like it, very very close to archers. I think next time I will not buy bright white though. I like classic yellow hue to paper actually.
I prefer second one. Nice perspective and overall idea for painting. I’m surprised no one mentioned that it could use more softness in some edges, blending colors on paper, and darker values. It would make it look easier on eye and more finished. Let the colors run!:)
Thank you guys for your warm comments. I’d like to share colors I used for it with you. Sky light part cerulean blue dark ultramarine and burnt umber.
The choloate brown – is Mars brown
Reddish brown is English red
Yellow ocher and green. I use only Russian paints Leningrad (also known as white nights)

Thanks everyone for you comments and for checking out my sketch. What is the difference between sketching and painting? Is it a time frame, size or lack of elements? I tend not to spend more then an hour for a painting.
Thanks. The dimensions are about 7×11″ I cut full sheet of paper to 8 pieces I think. Hard to remember:)

Your painting brought me memories from similar landscape I had chance to see in late September in Alaska. Tundra changed colors from green to golden brown and red brown, all warm and beautiful colors. I really like your painting.
