today’s sons nap time brought this. Moleskine paper typical drawbacks. Good thing I don’t have many pages left

The sky looks very rainy. Good sense of depth in this one.  I have quite a few pages left in my Moleskine sketchbook.  I just don’t like how the paint puddles up.  There’s a great source of sketchbooks on Ebay.  They are made from Arches paper.  Search “Arches watercolor field books.”

Its quite good and i know exactly what you mean. Ufortunately i have two full sketchbooks left. The strange thing is that sometimes the sketches come out very nice but other times the paint justn’t stick and you can’t overlay washes.

I tried cutting up some paper and making a small block using a hot glue gun. I couldn’t get the glue to stay hot long enough to smear it around the edges but it almost works. Maybe i should try rubber cement.
