Thanks, Howard, I like to try and leave some white in every painting. 🙂 And I agree, I do think God gave us birds to help remind us to be cheerful, too. 😀

Your bird painting is charming Lora, lots of detail but not overpainted. The colours are lovely and fresh. The painting of the branch is well done too. You’ve inspired me to try some bird studies soon it looks fun.

Thanks, Patrick! I intended to try painting this really loose, but I ended up having too much fun with details using my new round brushes with such a pointy tip, perfect for feathers! You should definitely give painting birds a try, it’s relaxing somehow! 😀
