Cornish Coast Watercolour – Trying Out 140lb Hot Pressed Watercolour Paper — 4 Comments

  1. I’m always amazed at how you can make a scene look so sunny! These two scenes bring back memories for me of one of the best vacations ever. I hiked on the path right by that cottage on Cape Cornwall. Your two paintings are so colorful and seem so effortless! Just lovely.

  2. Thanks Paula. I just love painting the Cornish Coast as you know its so beautiful. I felt my paintings were getting a bit dull, lacking colour so I am trying to breathe some fresh air into my work hence the colour. I’m sure your memories of hiking through Cape Cornwall and beyond will stay with you forever. I hope you can get back one day, nothing changes its still the same 🙂

  3. Patrick, even though I’ve not been home since we’ve been helping our daughter move, but I did take time out to watch this the other day and I just love it! It’s beautiful! Makes me want to try hot pressed. 🙂

    • Thanks very much, Lora. I hope things have calmed down a little since the move. I recommend having a go with the hot pressed its lovely paper to paint on. I’m thoroughly enjoying my painting right now 🙂
